I’ve already been in St Petersburg for a few weeks, and I thought I already knew most of the ‘usual facts’ about the main tourist sites from reading online and in my guidebook. I was wrong!
I joined Lena and Eugene’s tour and learned much more about the history and significance of the Hermitage, Peter and Paul Fortress, the bridges over the Neva, the area in front of the old stock exchange, St. Isaac’s Cathedral, Kazan Cathedral, the Fine Arts Square, and more..
